A national controversy is affecting many here in Ohio.

Sexual abuse has been uncovered in the Boy Scouts and it has affected many families here in Ohio. More than 7,800 Boy Scouts of America leaders nationwide have been accused of child sex abuse. Many appear in the “Perversion Files,” where men and women were kicked out of the organization 947 and January 2005 due to suspected sexual abuse.

In Ohio more than 200 Boy Scout leaders who appeared in the “Perversion Files.”

The Boy Scouts reached out to families stating they care “deeply about all victims of child sex abuse” and sincerely apologizes to “anyone who was harmed during their time in Scouting.”
