A few months ago I had the fortunate opportunity to conduct a one on one video interview with R&B music superstar Howard Hewett. Recently a portion of that particular interview came into question by another big music superstar…..Jody Watley. Jody and Howard are former group co-members of the hit group Shalamar. They along with Jeff Daniels gave us some of the biggest hits ever while winning a Grammy Award for their accomplishments along the way. Shalamar now tours with all its original members….except Jody Watley. For some time there has been a disconnect between between Jody Watley and Howard Hewett. Read further in this blog and you’ll find out why the original members of Shalamar may never get back together.

I looked at a friend request from someone and I saw your profile/avatar as a ‘mutual friend’. Your name was familiar and after viewing your profile it all came to me.
Some months ago a fan sent me a link to an interview you did with Howard Hewett, where you both seemed to have a few laughs at my expense. Howard’s comments didn’t surprise as he is generally dismissive of my career when asked about me. “Jodyland?” That said, it was peculiar to watch your reaction as a professional on air personality.
It’s even more bizarre realizing that I added you at some point as a ‘friend’. This was no doubt because you are an on air personality in as much as I don’t add many people to this page. I suppose I can also conclude that you are not a supporter of my music as a solo artist as well.
