On the Jackson family episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” airing Monday (Nov. 8), Katherine Jackson will open up about a time she confronted her son Michael Jackson after hearing rumors that he was using drugs. “He denied it,” she tells Winfrey. “I was telling him that I didn’t want to hear one day that he had overdosed because it would break my heart. It would kill me.  “He kept saying, ‘Mother, you don’t believe me. My own my mother don’t believe me,’” she recalls.

Jackson died in June 2009 from an overdose of the powerful anesthetic propofol, which he had been using to sleep as he prepared for “This Is It,” his comeback tour.
