Cancer-Stricken Aretha Recovering At Home!
The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, is home from the hospital after undergoing successful cancer surgery. Details about Aretha’s condition are still being kept secret, but her camp says that the surgery was a success. The legendary singer released a statement yesterday saying, “I’ve been at home for almost three days now. My family and friends who brought me home are taking great care of me. I also have a private nurse who visits on a daily basis.” A spokeswoman reports that Aretha is “in great spirits.”
While her diagnosis has not been announced officially, several media outlets have reported that Aretha is battling pancreatic cancer, which is a particularly aggressive form of the disease. Actor Patrick Swayze lost his life to pancreatic cancer last year.
