Look for LeToya Luckett in an upcoming drama on a television near you. Instead of doing her normal singing thing, the multi-talented Luckett has been cast in a recurring role on HBO’s “Treme.”
If you haven’t seen the show, the storyline is set in New Orleans, post Katrina, and follows a group of residents who are trying to rebuild their lives after the disaster.
Luckett is actually no stranger to the screen as she first debuted on the WB’s “Smart guy” in ’98. This year you may have caught her on DVD in “Preacher’s Kid.”
Luckett also won a role in the upcoming film “From the Rough,” which also stars Taraji P. Henson. Currently in pre-production, the flick is scheduled to be released in fall, 2011.
