The city wants to hear from you to fix the Short North parking problem.

We love to hang out in the Short North but limited parking can take the joy out of it sometimes. This is not a new problem but Columbus has been trying out new plans to try to fix it.

Now the city wants to hear from you once they roll out their new parking plan. Solutions would include residential permit zones, regulations for visitor parking, and much more. The plans will address the growing number of people that visit the area, making more parking spaces and do a better job communicating where and where not to park.

“You think you can park in a certain place you end up getting towed or fined or something. They need to do something about the parking,” Mike Bowen said.

Do you want to voice your opinion? A public meeting about the proposal is scheduled for 6 p.m. April 4th at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
