  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple chunks, juices reserved*
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves


  To make the mixture combine pineapple juice, chicken broth, brown sugar, soy sauce and garlic in a small bowl. Put your chicken in your slow cooker and stir in mixture you just made.  Add in pineapple chunks and pineapple juice.  Cook on low for 2-3 hours on low or 5-6 hours on hight. If you like your chicken to have a little crispy edge, put your chicken on a cookie sheet after cooking in the slower cooker.  Place the cookie sheet in the broiler for about 4 minutes.   Source
