The Columbus man wanted as a suspect in the murder of his wife took his life Wednesday evening after a police chase on Route 33.
The man, 32-year-old Jack Blake, Jr. had a police alert for him Wednesday morning after the discovery of his dead wife in the driveway of their home.
State Patrol received a 911 call about a car matching the description issued in the alert. The chase went on for about 15 miles, until spike sticks were used to flatten Blake’s tire.
Deputies reported that the vehicle stopped and shortly after, they heard a gunshot.
