About Robyn Simone
Robyn Simone is more than just a voice on the radio—she’s a force. Born and raised in Detroit Michigan, she’s got that Motown hustle, a story of resilience, and a passion for connecting with people through music and real talk.
Her journey started at Wayne State University, where she learned early on that success doesn’t come easy—you have to go after it. After a setback at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, she didn’t fold. Instead, she put in the work, created a fire demo, and earned a second shot. Juggling motherhood, work, and night classes, she made it happen, proving that determination beats any obstacle.
Robyn’s career took off in Detroit but quickly expanded to markets like Cleveland Ohio, Columbia SC, Milwaukee WI, and Albany GA,. Now, she’s holding it down in Columbus, Ohio, as the Assistant Program Director and midday host for Magic 95.5 and Joy 107.1. From 10 AM to 3 PM on Magic, she serves up the best music with a side of wisdom through her signature segment, Words to Nest On—giving listeners a daily dose of inspiration and motivation.
But Robyn isn’t just about radio—she’s a storyteller, an advocate for unity, and a champion for personal growth. Her journey from student to industry powerhouse is proof that persistence pays off.
So, if you’re tuning in, get ready for laughs, lessons, and a whole lot of good energy—because Robyn Simone brings it all to the mic.
