Convicted of 45 counts of child molestation Friday night (June 22, 2012), former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky has been placed on suicide watch, reports MSNBC.com.

Prisoners have been prohibited from communicating with Sandusky, but when the lights go down they sing lyrics to him from the classic Pink Floyd song “The Wall”:

“Hey, teacher! Leave those kids alone.”

As previously reported by NewsOne.com, jurors listened to 7 days of testimony before finding the 68-year-old guilty of  molesting at least 8 young boys over a 15-year period.

“It’s hard to judge character on the stand, because you don’t know these kids,” juror Joshua Harper told NBC’s “Today” show. “But most were very credible – I would say all.

“I looked at him during the reading of the verdict and just the look on his face. No real emotion,” Harper continued, “because he knew it was true.”

As the trial progressed, Sandusky’s son Matt Sandusky stepped forward and claimed that his father abused him as well:

“During the trial, Matt Sandusky contacted us and requested our advice and assistance in arranging a meeting with prosecutors to disclose for the first time in this case that he is a victim of Jerry Sandusky’s abuse,” Andrew Shubin and Justine Andronici wrote in the statement. “At Matt’s request, we immediately arranged a meeting between him and the prosecutors and investigators.”

Sandusky’s sentencing is expected to occur in approximately three months. As previously reported by NewsOne.com, because of  the severity of his crimes and minimum sentencing laws, he will likely die in prison.

His lawyers plan on appealing based on lack of time to prepare an adequate case.
