Beyonce along with Salma Hayek and Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini have joined together to promote female empowerment in a new Gucci global campaign Chime for Change. The campaign will raise money and awareness to support women and girls from around the globe.

Hayek officially announced the initiative for women’s rights at the TEDXWomen luncheon earlier today. The actress debuted a short film that details the aims of the campaign, narrated by the actress with music by Knowles.

This is only one of the ten short films for Chime of Change that will feature women sharing inspiring stories.

“I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women. Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be,” said Beyonce in a statement. “It’s up to us to change the statistics for women around the world. I’m honoured to be in the company of women who live fearlessly and set an example for the next generation of young ladies.” SOURCE
