A truck struck several people along a bike trail on the West Freeway in New York City this afternoon. There are as many as 6 people dead and appears to be a deliberate act. One person is in custody at this time with many emergency personnel in the area. A witness stated he saw a man driving a car that crashed in to the curb, the man got out screaming and frustrated. The witness then says, “I heard people on the street screaming ‘He’s got a gun! He’s got a gun!’ but I didn’t see one I just wanted to get to safety.” There have been multiple casualties reported.
