The story of Trayvon Martin is finally coming to fruition. Jay Z has teamed up with Paramount Network to give us “Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story,” which is based on the life and untimely death of the slain teen. Trayvon’s story is one the most controversial and heartbreaking incidents to happen in this decade. The documentary will be based on the book “Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin,” by his parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin.

The six part non scripted documentary will cover the life of then 17 yr old Trayvon Martin who was shot and killed by neighborhood watch member George Zimmerman in Florida. Zimmerman was acquitted on the 2nd degree murder charge based on Florida’s “Stand Your Ground Law.”
