Singer/Actress Whitney Houston and comedian Mike Epps take time to pose for a photo on the set of “Sparkle” in Detroit.
Whitney will play Jordin Sparks’ (Sparkle) mother (Emma), while Epps will play Satin Struthers.
The upcoming “Sparkle” remake will be set in 1968 Detroit during the rising era of Motown. Its story will follow the youngest sister, a music prodigy named Sparkle as she struggles to become a famous star while overcoming issues that are tearing her family apart.
This will be Houston’s first film since “The Preacher’s Wife” in 1996.
