JANET SIGNS MOVIE DEAL!
Janet Jackson has signed a deal with Lionsgate to develop and produce her own movies. Miss Jackson told the Hollywood Reporter that this is a natural step for her since she was working in front of the cameras long before she went into the music studio. (Remember Good Times, Diff’rent Strokes and Fame?). Janet said: “Many people forget I started out as an actor. I have been fortunate to work in the film industry, though not as much as I would like. I have a passion for storytelling, and have been doing it through my music for some time.”
Janet hasn’t decided what the first film under her Lionsgate deal will be, but she says she has a thin for “film noir” – dark, suspenseful mysteries.
