Band members of Cheap Trick fled to their safety as the stage they were performing on had collapsed Sunday evening at Ottawa Bluesfest in Canada.
Thousands of fans witnessed the strong storm winds take down the stage 20 minutes into Cheap Trick’s performance as the took cover for safety. No one was seriously injured. One is suffering from a broken leg.
The storm had produced heavy rains and hail on Ottawa, and with lightning flashing in the sky, organizers canceled Death Cab for Cutie, Joe Satriani and Galactic, which were the final acts of the evening.
