Before President Obama’s speech at this year’s Democratic National Convention R&B superstar Mary J. Blige took the stage. Before performing she took time to give thanks and blessings to President Obama. Mary said, “I am so thankful that the message has been that we are in this together,” she said at the beginning of a two-song set at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. “That’s makes us all one.” Check out Mary’s performance above.
