Beyonce spoke out — sort of — for the first time since her alleged lip syncing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at last week’s presidential inauguration.
The R&B songstress donned a sweatshirt bearing the words, “Can I live?” during a rehearsal Sunday for the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show where she is scheduled to take the stage. The popular term is also the title of a rap track by her hip hop mogul husband, Jay-Z.
In the picture, posted to her Instagram account Sunday, Beyonce appears with her hands gestured in a shrug. As of this morning, the photo had over 190,000 “likes” and over 4,000 comments — most showing support and extending words of encouragement for the Grammy award winning artist.
Beyonce faced major criticism after a Marine band spokeswoman told reportersthe singer’s rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was actually pre-recorded a day before the inauguration. READ MORE
