COLUMBUS, Ohio – The city of Columbus has a new security measure to protect families during Red, White, and Boom.
Police said that there are 50 public safety cameras that have been placed discreetly around downtown.
The cameras will serve as extra eyes for officers at the city’s Emergency Operations Center. Officials can review all 50 cameras at one time.
A police spokesman said the cameras will be rolling at all times, and officers will be able to react to handle any disturbances. SOURCE
