Recent reports suggest that baby circumcisions are on a three-decade decline. But what does that mean to parents who want to make the best decision for their newborn?
Gynecologist Dr. Jessica Shepherd recently talked to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about a ruling that that allowed gynecologists to also treat male patients.
in 2013, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology issued a statement that gynecologists were permitted to diagnose and treat men for sexually transmitted diseases and for anal cancer, reversing an earlier mandate that said no.
While board certification is not required, most patients are taught to seek out doctors who are board-certified. Many gynecologists were already treating male patients, but previously risked losing their board certification in doing so.
