Nia Noelle became interested in the field of broadcasting during her sophomore year of high school. She auditioned and was selected as District Spokesperson of Norman High School's Channel 29. She found herself totally enmeshed in the area of media by learning to deliver news packages and hosting a weekly news broadcast. Upon graduation Nia Noelle, enrolled in the William Fulbright School of Arts in Broadcasting Journalism at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her focus was primarily on television broadcasting but noticed there was a void at the university. She was instrumental in the launching of UATV Jamz and KXUA-FM. Nia Noelle became the Director of Multicultural Affairs at UATV and hosted a mainstream urban show at KXUA-FM. In May 2006, Nia Noelle got the call to come home to her birth state of Ohio and join the family at Radio One Columbus. Nia Noelle’s long term professional goal is to grow by working with experienced professionals that take a hands-on approach with their teams to achieve the organization’s goals. Nia Noelle also has also made plans to venture into other avenues of media in the near future.
Jodeci will be performing at the upcoming Soul Train Awards. They will be performing a medley of their hits as well as a brand new single at the awards show, which will be taping on November 7.
According to Yahoo Music, this will be the first time that all four members has appeared on stage together since 2006.
“Soul Train was a critical platform in the beginning of our career, so it only makes sense that our return to the stage be during Soul Train Awards 2014,” the group said in a statement released to Yahoo Music.
“We’re humbled by the loyalty of our fans who have asked for a reunion and look forward to giving them a show as only Jodeci can. #JODECIforever.”
K-Ci and JoJo headlined our 2014 Stone Soul concert and told me backstage that they were about to start recording with Dalvin and Davante! So I’m assuming that the reunion I was told about is happening!
The show will feature performances from Jeremih, and Aloe Blacc and more. It will air on BET on November 30.
