FLOTUS

This such a great honor for a local soldier. According to Fox 28, First Lady Michelle Obama invited Army Staff Sergeant Jason Gibson to join her Tuesday night to hear her husband, President Barack Obama, deliver the State of the Union Address.

Gibson lost both his legs to an explosion in Afghanistan back in 2012. He met Obama while recovering from multiple surgeries at Walter Reed Hospital.

Gibson says he is doing well. His family recently moved into a custom-built house in Marysville in December. The home was provided by the non-profit Homes For Our Troops program.
