"American Idol" Contestant Gets Into It with Harry Connick, Jr.

The soul singer’s first song was Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way” and he was not pleased to hear Harry Connick Jr. tell him he was overshadowed by the backup band. Alexander was visibly upset by the comment, and when host Ryan Seacrest asked him what he was thinking he wasn’t shy about sharing his opinion about the entire competition.”This sucks. Instead, he walked off as Connick jumped in to say that the singer was spitting in the face of the competition that is trying to make him a star.

“Quentin, if it’s that whack, you can always go home because ‘Idol’ is paying a lot of money to give you this experience,” the judge says. “To say that to the hand that is feeding you is highly disrespectful.”
