According to 10TV, a shooting victim has died after being driven to the Rally’s restaurant in east Columbus.
Police tell 10TV the shooting occurred on Stelzer Road and then the victim was brought to a Rally’s restaurant at the corner of South James Street and East Broad Street about 3:00 Thursday afternoon in grey Pontiac Grand Prix.
The driver of the Grand Prix told police that one shot was fired — the bullet hit the back of the vehicle, penetrated the trunk and then hit victim in front passenger seat.
The victim, described by police as a 20-year-old black male, was transported to Grant Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car is cooperating with police. No other information was immediately available.
