Get your prayer circles together — the queen of pop may need your help with a health scare that’s far more serious than originally thought.

It’s being reported that the reason Janet Jackson has had to cancel her “Unbreakable” tour dates is because she may have a cancerous growth in her throat.

Last week, Janet posted a message to her fans on Instagram, saying that she had to undergo emergency surgery. Citing unconfirmed internet reports, Yahoo News writes that the surgery may have been to have a growth on her vocal chord tested for cancer.

“Doctors found a growth on Janet’s vocal chords that could be serious,” a source close to the singer said. It’s a medical condition that has to be taken care of immediately.”

Dr. Stuart Fischer tells Radar Online that if it’s cancer of the larynx, it could be bad news for her career and that she may never sing again.

We’re going to go ahead and hope that it is absolutely not that and speak positivity over Janet’s health. We reached out to the family for support, but until we hear confirmation from her or her family, we are believing she is healthy and cancer free.
