33 years ago, a little known radio DJ had the incredible opportunity to sit down with one of music’s biggest names for Ebony/Jet’s Celebrity Showcase. Admittedly nervous, Tom Joyner sat down with Earth, Wind & Fire’s Maurice White and Phillip Bailey to talk about the group’s unique sense of style.
White, the founder and leader of Earth, Wind & Fire, died in his Los Angeles home Wednesday night. The group has currently sold more than 90 million albums.
