Ohio Children may be getting some extra days on their summer vacation. Sponsored and cosponsored by Ohio State Senator Gayle Manning, Kevin Bacon, Frank Hoagland, Sandra Williams and Kenny Yuko, Senate Bill 34 could change school start schedules in Ohio if passed. With concerns of schools proper cooling mechanisms throughout the state and conflict of vacations, many parents seem to be ‘ok’ with the change. Not to mention, the economic boost. Michigan has 20 million more dollars where 75% of the parents prefer to vacation in July and August. If your school board votes to start sooner and majority of the parents in the district agree, your school could be starting after Labor Day.
