Taco Bell Fast Food

Fast food restaurants all over the world have been introducing new items, both permanent and temporary, since the concept was first introduced.

Very rarely do a lot of new items get pulled off menus after a weeks or days, especially if demand not met.

However, Taco Bell just did the unthinkable…they are pulling the newly-introduced Naked Chicken Chalupa just shortly after it was introduced, and after it had gotten popular.

For those not familiar, the Chalupa was made of a fried chicken shell.  Those who had tried it had actually gotten to like it.

Sources at the restaurant says it was meant to be a temporary item, according to SFGate:

The item was a limited time offer from Taco Bell, and apparently it’s run of only a few weeks was normal for an “LTO item,” a taco Bell spokesperson told the Orange County Register. The rollout for the chalupa began in 2016 at select locations. (Other limited time offer items that debuted last year include the triple down crunchwraps, rolled chicken tacos and “crunchwrap sliders.”)

No word on when it will return, if ever.
