A Columbus man has been indicted on rape charges after police officers say he took advantage of a client. The sexual assault allegedly happened in Marysville in February. Muzaffer Sakin has been indicted on two counts of rape and two counts of sexual battery. The indictment says Sakin engaged in sexual conduct with a female client who was intoxicated. The Columbus Dispatch reports Sakin was the woman’s Uber driver who was taking her home to Marysville.

Uber has stated that, upon hearing the allegations and indictment, immediately revoked Sakin’s access to the Uber app, which he will not be working for any longer. Sakin is not currently in custody, but has a warrant out for his arrest.
