Pittsburgh rapper Travon Smart, better known as Jimmy Wopo, was shot and killed yesterday, June 19th. He was murdered in his hometown neighborhood at the age of 21.

Authorities say they came across a vehicle parked in the middle of the street covered in gunshot holes. Authorities found Jimmy Wopo and another man inside the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Both men were transferred to a local hospital where Jimmy Wopo was pronounced dead. The other man is in stable condition and is recovering.
Jimmy Wopo’s recording career started at the age of 14 inside a church studio. Wopo had been previously shot twice as a teenager.
