Born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in nearby Urbana, Ohio Warren Stevens has been a familiar voice to central Ohio listeners since 1992. He began building his radio and television career while in high school at WUHS 91.7 at Urbana High School. Upon graduation from high school; Warren attended Capital University in Bexley, Ohio where he studied speech communications. Capital University provided valuable radio & television experiences. Some of those experiences including working on the student run and produced television show, Skyline Columbus. Capital University also provided some very relevant radio associated experiences as well. They included working as an air-personality at Capital University’s student run radio station and as a public-address announcer for Capital University men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling as well. Warren’s radio experiences have taken him all over central and west central Ohio holding radio employment in: Springfield, Bellefontaine, Dayton and Columbus, Ohio. Warren has worked a variety of timeslots during his tenure in Columbus. They include mid-day personality, morning and afternoon drive as well. Currently he is mid-day air – personality on WXMG/ Magic 106.3 His warm friendly demeanor and genuine interest in the central Ohio community are an integral part of every show weekdays from 10am -3pm.

The 2010 Soul Train Music Awards, which was taped on November 10th in Atlanta, GA, was broadcasted last night on the BET/Centric Networks. Stars like Usher, Alicia Keys, Janelle Monae and Melanie Fiona all scooped up awards from the soul-filled night.
Both Usher and Alicia keys snagged two awards each. Usher landed Album of the Year and Best Male R&B/Soul Artist, which tied with Trey Songz, and Keys won Best Female R&B/Soul Artist and Record of the Year.
Newcomer Melanie Fiona won Best New Artist of 2010, beating out hot contenders like B.o.B, Dondria and Wale.
Best Dance Performance was awarded to Ciara over Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Usher and Janelle Monae, but Monae won the Centric Award.
Your own Singersroom.com also won an award for one of the “Best Soul Sites.” The new category recoginizes online portals that are leading the soul music trend.
The 2010 Soul Train Awards took place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia with Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson as hosts, and the likes of Ne-Yo, Bruno Mars, Keyshia Cole, Cee-Lo, Tank and Jazmine Sullivan as musical guests. Special honorees were Anita Baker and Ron Isley who were saluted with Legend Awards.
