“Dear (expletive) awesome Chicago
I am a veteran of a disturbing honesty that has me at times questioning the very nature of my soul.
I’ve grow, not appealed, patched my wounds, regrouped and found solace once again. At times though, I felt to my very core that the war was really paused.
My ears still ringing, throat dry, vision blurred.
Removed, yes. But the horror still with me.
I’m speaking of course about last night in Detroit.”
