Casey Anthony Sentenced To Four Years

Casey Anthony has been sentenced in Orlando today for four year for lying to police, but can go home later this month or early August because Anthony has already done three years and has had good behavior.

The sentences stems from four counts of lying to the detectives who were trying to find her missing daughter in July 2008. Her lies included her employment at the Universal Studios theme park, leaving her daughter with a nanny named “Zanny”, her daughter being kidnapped by the fake nanny, and receiving a phone call from her daughter.

The defense argued that the charges against her is double jeopardy and sought out to lessen the charge to just one count of lying to the authorities because Casey told a “continuous lie” and these lies were told in one interview.
