Hightower will be leaving her position at the Columbus College of Art and Design as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, a position that she has held since 2004.

John Stephens, chair of the Columbus Urban League Board of Directors goes on to note that:

“We are so pleased that Stephanie has agreed to bring her boundless energy, high

expectations and passion for the community to the Columbus Urban League. We are confident

that she will do an outstanding job leading the League in its mission of empowering our

community and changing lives.”

The first woman CEO of the Urban League also received high praises from Denny Griffith, President of CCAD when noting that Hightower has made many contributions to the welfare of the College including the orchestrating of the school’s $12.5 MM Creative Design Drive, and being a top leader in the visual communications/re-branding of the College.
