From the start of the shows evolution, Mariah Carey has wanted to be involved in the upcoming season of X Factor and Simon Cowell is officially making it happen. According to People, Mariah will appear as a “guest of a judge.” This was Cowell’s way of finding her a spot on the show.
Earlier this month, a producer said, “You can’t say no to Mariah. We have to find a role for her.” Mariah Carey is confirmed to tape something with Simon Cowell at his home for the show.
X Factor makes its debut on Sept. 21 on FOX.
