A recent autopsy of deceased Soul Train originator, Don Cornelius, has revealed that an illness sent him into depression leading him to his suicide back in February.
In 1997, Cornelius suffered an aneurysm and seizures then took over his life. This sent him into a depression. At 3 a.m. right before he took his own life, Don Cornelius called his son saying “I don’t know how long I can take this”. His son found him dead in his room with a pistol in his right hand with a gunshot would to the head.
Don Cornelius’ suicide was sad and unexpected. He was 75 years old.
