Emeli Sande is in good company on the UK Charts, where historic data has placed her in line with The Beatles — all thanks to her debut album, “Our Version of Events.”
According to The Official Charts Company, Sande’s debut has delivered “the most number of consecutive top 10 weeks for a solo debut album in UK chart history.”

“Sande is the first solo artist to notch up an unbroken run of 47 weeks inside the Official Albums Chart Top 10 with a debut album from release, and only the second act in history to achieve such a feat behind The Beatles, who scored 62 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 with their 1963 debut Please Please Me,” reports the OCC.
As previously reported, “Our Version of Events” has sold over 1.4 million copies in the UK, making it the year’s best selling album.

It’s unclear when this project is coming, but she has been busy writing and teased the following lyrics.
“So I’m going to love you as if we have a chance… like the recession is over, like we can all afford to dance. Yeh, I’m going to love you as if we have a chance.” READ MORE
