Singer, songwriter, and R&B legend Natalie Cole will perform and be the guest of honor for a special fundraising event, An Unforgettable Eveningwith Natalie Cole, on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 pm in Mershon Auditorium. Columbus’s Harmony Project, a choir of nearly 200 voices dedicated to “service and song,” opens the evening with a special set. This event benefits both the WexnerCenter for the Arts and Ohio State’s Harding Behavioral Health’s STAR (Stress, Trauma, and Resilience) Program. Tickets are on sale now at tickets.wexarts.org. A true Hollywood darling, Grammy award-winning artistand daughter of jazz legend Nat “King” Cole, Natalie Cole is no stranger to trauma, rehab, and the challenges of addiction, serious illness, and loss. Brave and honest, Cole shares her struggles through a life-threatening illness and a sorrowful loss in her 201o memoir, Love Brought Me BackSherri Geldin, director of the Wexner Center for the Arts, notes, “We’re delighted to once again partner with OhioState’s STAR Program to offer the public a memorable and powerful event focused on the challenges and complexities of personal healthcare.”
