Thousands attended the Republican Party of Virginia 2013 State Convention last weekend. Over 13,000 delegates voted for the best candidates to represent them in November. The GOP nominated E.W. Jackson, a minister and attorney, from Chesapeake, Virginia for Lieutenant Governor and state Senator Mark Obenshain for attorney general. Jackson topped six rivals for the nomination and Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli is running unopposed for the nomination for governor.
Bishop E.W. Jackson is a conservative and is not quiet about his values to the citizens of Virginia. Bishop Jackson is Chairman of “Ministers Take A Stand” and he has a message for black Christians. Don’t Be Slave to Democrats. “It’s time to end the slavish devotion to the Democratic Party. They have insulted us, used us and manipulated us. They have saturated the black community with ridiculous lies” says Jackson.
