A Columbus woman claiming to have traveled to West Africa and suffering from Ebola like symptoms had authorities on high alert Thursday night when she called for help.
Hazmat crews responded to a home on South Champion Avenue and transported a patient to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center Isolation Unit. It was found that the woman has never traveled internationally and called 911 with the false claims so she could get urgent treatment. The woman did not have ebola like symptoms.
