With Christmas around this corner, this is such a great story. According to Fox 28, there was a ‘Miracle on Baltimore Street.’ An Ohio State Trooper in Defiance is being called a “hero.” It’s because of the tiny life he saved at the Patrol Post parking lot.

It’s one hospital visit that Sgt. Fernando Chavez says he wasn’t sure he’d make.

Devon-Ae Guerra, 19, went into labor about 3 a.m. Tuesday. Her grandmother was driving her to the hospital. But, suddenly, it was apparent to both women that they weren’t going to make it.

Guerra said, “I’m like, I was like ‘I think the baby’s coming.’ She’s like ‘What?’ And, I’m like ‘I think the baby’s coming. I have to push.’ She’s like ‘Don’t push! Don’t push!'”

That’s when Guerra’s grandmother pulled into a nearby State Trooper post in Defiance. It’s here that Sgt. Chavez got the call and grabbed his fellow officers.

Sgt. Chavez said, “There’s a woman having a baby in our parking lot.”
