Well the decision is in and VH1 has decided to keep airing their new controversial show Sorority Sisters.  Why?  Only because of ratings!  Despite all of the boycotts, petitions, social media uproar, advertisers dropping ads and upset Black Greek Organizations the show got 1.3 million viewers   Vh1 said in an email

“There are currently no plans to change the series and it seems to be connecting with its audience. Due to the confidential nature of our agreements with our advertising partners, we never speak to specifics about clients and their media plans. But we do enjoy successful, long-term partnerships with our advertisers and are happy to honor any requests to move spots to other parts of our schedule.”

Upset viewers targeted show advertisers swaying some like Honda, Crayola, JBL, a subsidiary of Harman International, Hallmark, Carmex to pull their commercials but it seems that it hasn’t been enough of an impact to axe the show.
