Behind 246 yards and four touchdowns from Sophomore Running Back Ezekiel Elliott and another clutch performance from Quarterback Cardale Jones, the Ohio State Buckeyes captured the school’s 6th National Championship and the first under head coach Urban Meyer (his third). The Buckeyes overcame four turnovers en route to an upset victory over the Oregon Ducks with the final score of 42-20. Elliott set Ohio State Bowl game and National Championship game records for rushing while the Buckeye defense held Heisman trophy winner Marcus Mariota in check all night.
