According to Fox 28, a man accused of killing his estranged wife and her brother in a South Side parking lot will be held without bail in the Franklin County Jail.

Roy Harvison, 24, pleaded not guilty to the murders of Jenae Harvison, 29, and Donell McDonald, 23, on Parsons Avenue in South Columbus last Wednesday.

Franklin County Municipal Court Judge Anne Taylor denied any request for bail and said Harvison is to not have any contact with the immediate family of his estranged wife.

Harvison was officially charged Monday night after he was released from Grant Medical Center as the result of injuries sustained when he exchanged fire with three Columbus police officers following the shootings.

A passing officer said he witnessed the murders before engaging in fire with the suspect.

Reports state Harvison saw and shot his brother-in-law, who was seated inside a car. When Jenae Harvison heard gunshots, she ran to her brother where Harvison then shot her as well, police said. The estranged wife then collapsed in the road way, when authorities’ state, the suspect stood over her body and shot her several more times. Harvison then allegedly walked back to Mcdonald and shot him repeatedly as well.

The Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office said it’s likely they’ll present the case to the grand jury in the next ten days.
