COLUMBUS – THE Ohio State has extended the contract of head football coach Urban Meyer through 2020.
Meyer, who grew up in Ashtabula, will now be the highest paid football coach in the Big 10, the school announced on Monday.
After coaching the Buckeyes to a national championship in 2014, Meyer will now make $5.8 million in 2015.
With annual raises, Meyer will average at least $6.5 million per year over the next six years.
