According to Fox 28, one person is in critical condition after a shooting in an East Columbus strip mall.

The shooting happened on East Livingston Avenue, near Sheridan Avenue. Witnesses said it looked like there was some kind of robbery attempt when the shots were fired.

One person was shot, and a window at a Subway restaurant was shot out. The victim was rushed to Grant Hospital.

Capitol University, which is near the area, sent out a text alert to students and staff warning them about what happened. The alert said two men were seen running east on Livingston Avenue. Police said they were searching for the suspects.

East Livingston Avenue from I-70 to College Avenue was closed down while police investigated.
