#TeacherAppreciationWeek: 5 Celebs You Didn't Know Were Teachers

In honor of National Teacher Appreciation week, we wanted to highlight a couple of celebrities you may (or may not have known) were once teachers before hitting it big!

1. Mr T

Mr. T was a gym teacher back in the 1970’s.

2. Actor Jesse Williams

Grey’s Anatomy stud and social activist Jesse Williams was a teacher in Philadelphia for several years before hitting it big.

3. Actor Craig Robinson

Funnyman Craig Robinson was a music teacher at an elementary school. Imagine how that class was!

4. Roberta Flack

Before Roberta was blowing people away with her big voice, she was changing lives of students  in Maryland and North Carolina.

5. President Barack Obama

Many years before President Obama became the leader of the free world, he was a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago. Although not a formal role, according to Factcheck,org, POTUS was regarded as a professor on campus despite his title as “senior lecturer.”
