According to NBC 4, a Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted four men on aggravated murder charges stemming from a homicide on east side of Columbus, May 8.

Keshawn Bowman, 18, of Westerville, Carl Brantford, 21, of Groveport, Trevon McCeary, 18, of Reynoldsburg, and Charles Scott, 18, of Columbus were all indicted on aggravated murder, murder, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and tampering with evidence, after the incident on Shore Boulevard East.

Two juveniles were also charged out of the same incident.

According to Columbus police, officers responded to the report of a man being robbed, and then shot in front of an apartment building in the area of Shore Boulevard East in southeast Columbus, May 8.

When police arrived on scene they found 28-year-old James J. Johnson unresponsive on the front steps of the apartment, with an apparent gunshot wound.

Johnson later died from his injuries.

Police said the suspects stole the victim’s cell phone, which was tracked to an apartment complex on Waderidge Trail in Groveport.That’s where SWAT made the arrests.

According to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, all four defendants face life in prison if convicted of the charges.
