According to Fox 28, two northwest Ohio teenagers are charged as adults in Pennsylvania after an alleged three-state crime spree that authorities say ended only when the pair couldn’t swim across the wide Ohio River.
The 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl from Wyandot County were captured Saturday in Tyler County, West Virginia. Authorities allege their six-day spree involved stolen vehicles, theft of ammunition from an Ohio Wal-Mart, an armed robbery and injuries to a Pennsylvania policeman.
Each teen is charged in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, with felony counts of aggravated assault and robbery. The girl also is charged with felony counts of criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property and fleeing or trying to elude a police officer.
It’s unclear if the teens have attorneys. They remained in a juvenile detention facility in West Virginia on Wednesday.
