CLEVELAND- Activists calling for charges against the two Cleveland police officer involved in the death of Tamir Rice delivered a petition to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday.

The demonstrators marched from the Free Stamp at Willard Park to the Cuyahoga County Justice Center.

Eight months ago, Cleveland police were called to the Cudell Recreation Center for a report of a male waving a gun. Officers said they warned the boy to put down the weapon before shooting him. Rice died the next day and the gun turned out to be airsoft.

Tamir’s cousin, LaTonya Goldsby, said the petition has 60,000 signatures.
